About us

Voice of Hope Foundation (VoHF) is a source of inspiration for the poorest of the poor. Established in 2014 and formally registered in 2015, VoHF has been tirelessly working to rehabilitate young boys, support women living with HIV/AIDS, and care for orphaned children. Vision of Hope Foundation (VoHF) was born out of a profound need to propagate the word of Christ and make Him known to those entrenched in the world of crime.

Our mission is to bring about change in their lives through the teachings of Christ, offering hope, redemption, and a pathway to a better future. By sharing the message of faith in Christ.

Our goal is to:

  • Rehabilitate street boys
  • Support and empower women living with HIV/AIDS
  • Provide shelter, care, and education for orphaned children

We aim to provide them with the necessary support and guidance, and ultimately integrate them into the community as empowered and positive contributors.

Our journey began in the heart of the Soweto slums in Nairobi, where we witnessed firsthand the hopelessness that drives young boys into the perilous world of crime. With determination and compassion, our founders, Resper and Evans Gichana, created a makeshift shelter to provide these boys with safety, education, faith-building, and a chance at a better life. Thanks to the generosity of a well-wisher, we now have land in Machakos County, although our boys currently reside in rented premises as we work towards building permanent structures.

At VoHF, we believe in the power of hope, the potential of every child, and  impact of drawing them to Christ. With your support, we can continue to rebuild lives, empower communities, and create a brighter future for those who need it most. Lend us a hand.
